I haven't been blogging because we've been detained elsewhere. We had a week-long job, peforming with our horses, and it took a whole week to prepare, and almost a whole week to recover.
This picture is the feeding (assembly) line at our jobsite. Yes, we "camped" out. And yes, in keeping with tradition, Strapping Young Lad has his cowboy boots on the wrong feet.
I took very few pictures, because the days after these pictures were taken; sadly, we had pouring rains and flooding and I switched into survival mode, and let's just-finish-the-job and get-out-of-here-mode.
Strapping Young Lad kind of "stole the show" and everyones' hearts , while he was it. By the end of the week, he was being announced along with my name, as part of the act.
Doesn't Pucchini look slightly ethereal here (minus the sloppy, busy background)? After a week of mostly-honorable behavior, Pucchini officially joins the BrotherHood of Good Horses (an eccentric concept that we joke about, but are also slightly serious about...a brotherhood composed of horses that go above and beyond the normal call of duty. So Pucchini is officially a "Brother" now. Good to know, isn't it.)
We privately refer to him affectionately as "Pun" (pronounced 'Poon') or "Cheen-cheen."
And I didn't even get to taking a picture of Satchel, my western trick riding horse. Poor "Hatchy." (He's been in the Brotherhood for over 2 years already...)
So that's more than you may be interested to know. And now for the clean-up and putting things away...
